22nd of May 2011 Crow made a huge litter of puppies - 11 pups! However the last born female pup was much smaller and weaker and it died. 10 puppies, 6 males and 4 females are doing fine.

The sire of the litter is Susitievan Kuurna. He is running in Johanna Kokkonen race team mid-distances in 6-dog class, as well as he is working full time tourist dog. He is working in all positions, including as a leader. Kuurna is well built, medium sized male, who has very well built and excellent working attitude in his offspring. He is eyechecked clear. Kuurna has got excellent in Specialty judged by Karsten Grönås. Kuurna has working result 1 as well as several excellent raceresults - has been winning Finnish Championships in 6-dog class mid-distance in Finnish Siberian Husky Club´s race.

Winter ended much earlier in Pohjasenvaara than usually. We had however few weeks to enjoy the sunny snowy trails. The winter itself was very cold. Our kennel is top of the small hill, so we are actually in pretty warm place. -30 C was the coldest here, however in lower places the temperature dropped till -41 C.

I have two young very promising males growing in my kennel:

Indian Tribes Husky Micmac II aka Maki

Kefeus Hexe´s Grimnir aka Grim.

Next winter it is interesting to see, how these young males will work - hopes are high. Both are moving very well, they have soft and long stride.

And till end some photos of last winter - how I miss those sunny snowy trails:

Kefeus winter 2011 8-dog team, leaders Pinga and Pricken.

My  4 super dogs - lightgray males Einstein and Edison (Pricken x Pinga) and team Zebra (main leader) and Crow. This was first winter for the E boys, and they show they full potential already this year. Zebra was my main leader whole winter, this is rare photo her in team. Crow worked also all positions, including co-lead.

Full speed ahead...

... waiting for the next winter to come!
