It has been a long time again since I wrote update to blog. Lots of things has happened.

Pinga´s three girls moved to their new homes. Tesla, Enya (Alva) and Jinga have settled well. Einstein and Edison, Pinga x Pricken sons stayed at homekennel. They are well built and look like twins - I have hard times when they run to recognize who is who :) The biggest difference is, that Einstein is very quiet while Edison is very noisy.

This winter I did not run any races, but two of my dogs did: Kefeus Zavaritski Ice "Zava" and Taiga Quest Crow "Crow" were in loan at kennel Kuurametsän. Joonas Männikkö drove them sprint races, 6-dog and 8-dog classes. They were best purebred team in both classes in Finnish Championships. A big thank you to Joonas, who trained and raced the girls. After the racing season both girls were returned to my kennel - but after couple of weeks Joonas came to pick up Zava who moved perminantly to kennel Kuurametsän.

 

Kefeus B-litter, volcanic rock litter grew fast. They are happy, outgoing, friendly dogs, who are keeping contact great. However due plans to move to Sweden etc. I decided to give up one of them. Kefeus By Cinder Cinza moved to Sainen kennel. Tuffi and Breksia stayed home.

However, we have also one kennel addition. Already year ago I was asking an interesting male from Sweden, kennel Vintervisa. Pernilla contacted me in April and I made quick decision - I drove to kennel Vintervisa to pick up Sirius home. Our newest addition is Vintervisa´s Stjärnklara Sirius. Sirius is well built, lightboned medium sized male. Friendly, open and calm dog. He has nice habit to talk back when you talk to him :) He has settled very easily to my pack. In harness he waits patiently, when stopped usually lays down. He pulls hard and has great attitude to work.

Also some health checks has been done - Nagar´s back was scanned and he was healthy. Kefeus Zavaritski Ice, Kefeus Zebra Rock, Taiga Quest Crow, Arctic Soul Snow Hawk and lapponian herder Riimu were checked from eyes and all of them were healthy.

There is lots of future plans, but mostly it depends when we can get to move to new home. We are looking a house either from Kolari or Pajala and move the kennel up there. However, together with Mustakallion kennel Katja and Erkka Aaltonen we have planned a litter to Tullatuulen Geisha aka Hexe, a fast leaddog. She will be bred in Sweden. If everything goes well, a litter to either Taiga Quest Crow or Kefeus Zebra Rock is also planned to fall.
